Chesterfield County-based Shoe Crazy Wine may be coming to a Walmart near you.
Gwen Hurt, founder and CEO of the wine company, was offered a deal at last week’s Walmart annual open call event where more than 400 entrepreneurs pitched their products to the mega-retailer.
“I am over the moon. This is a big deal,” Hurt said.
An agreement to be worked out will specify which states they will be in and which wine varieties will be picked up, she said.
Shoe Crazy Wine partners with various California and French wineries to make blends according to Hurt’s specifications. Other retailers, including Total Wine and More, Costco and Kroger, have carried the brand.
